Coffee....
So I've only posted one article on here, and so many of you (ok, like 3) have sternly warned me that if I didn't post something soon, they would physically harm me or they would die themselves (Jen... you got some 'splainin' to do). Since my blog is titled "Caffeinated Thoughts", I thought I would share a little bit about my obsession with coffee. You see, it is not just a beverage. It is not just something that warms us up on cold, "friging" winter mornings. It is just so much more. Coffee is: an activity, a social event, a PICK-ME-UP, a catylist for new ideas. ACTIVITY: "Hey, what do you want to do?" "I don't know, you want to go grab some coffee?" "Yeah, let's go". Nuff said. "SOCIAL EVENT: This is different from just an activity. When I actually "get coffee" with a friend, I am in for some serious bonding. In fact, some of my deepest, most meaningful conversations have happened at a local coffee shop. I'm not sure what it is... the atmosphere of the place, the taste of the java... whatever it is, it definitely fosters the growth of friendships. It's something just any old restaurant cannot do. There's no waitress trying to sell me a piece of chocolate cake that I in no way saved room for... and there's nothing particularly inviting about sitting down over a cheesburger and fries from McDonalds. It's just different.

PICK-ME-UP: Okay, so my co-workers could tell you... if I don't get my coffee in the morning, I get a bit cranky. And headachy. Yes, it is ridiculous... but I enjoy it SO much! Just ask my dad, or my friend Nick Moran what it's like when I'm "on coffee". My mind and mouth shift into warp speed and I turn into, well... Nick Moran. Now THAT, my friends... that is a feat. CATYLIST: When I am by myself and I have that mug in my hands, it gives me an opportunity to just sit and think... mull over new ideas, process the week, dream a little, hope for the future. It's MY time. Actually, if you want to get technical, it's God's time, because what really belongs to us, anyways? That's a whole other post... props to C.S. Lewis. Anyways... the whole point is...
There really is no point. I just love coffee.
And is friging really a word?

And a VERY NICE image to boot!
Okay, I think the "die" post was in reference to your tone on the voicemail message that we gave you so much crap about. But, I'll have to check! This was great! By the way, I called and left a message on your phone last night asking if you wanted to get some coffee . . . maybe a raincheck?!
Wonderful blog! Out of all the options, I'm going to pick the "Social Event" as my favorite and say that we need to have some of this "serious bonding" time in the near future. And since it will probably be freeging outside, that will make it all the better. What da ya say...maybe next week?
Yeah! Go Paul! A new post- and I must say it makes me want to pour a cup of ccoffee and sit and relax- and I can't stand the taste of coffee! Oh well, tea will do, or hot chocolate- hot white chocolate is even better! I can taste it now...
So, you better AT LEAST keep this thing updated like once a week while I am gone!!! Once a month just won't cut it :)

Though I still feel that mere words shall never ascend the lofty heights of my love for the black drink I must say that your obviously heart felt soliquy comes as close as the fetters of the mortal world will ever allow. Oh yeah your pretty cool to.
